Check out this song, ‘Life Magazine’ by Cold Cave on their newly released LP Love Comes Close.

Cold Cave is a Cold Wave (hah!) revival band, so this is all sorts of full of 80’s synth glory. This song, though, is something of a departure from their usual sound in that the thing is just so damned poppy, and sung by Caralee McElroy of Xiu Xiu. It’s awesome.

If you like it, definitely check out the rest of their music, which is usually voiced by Wesley Eisold, whose baritone is oddly reminiscent of Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields.
